Ushahidi team members recently provided blogger training and deployment consultation for the Txeka-la initiative monitoring the Mozambique general election and engaging community through mapping. From the Canadian High Commission YouTube post: "Using the Canadian Fund for Local Initiatives, the Canadian High Commission in Maputo has partnered with Mozambican NGOs to develop a Portuguese language, web-based application that empowers ordinary citizens to observe and report on the 2014 Presidential Election through the use of their mobile phone. The platform is called Txeka-la, which is Mozambican slang for “check it out”, and is powered by technology that was created in Kenya by Ushahidi following the violence that broke out after the 2007 election. With this platform, citizens will be able to report, in real-time, election events across the country." [embed]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q0B5HbqSrPo[/embed]
